Thixotropic mortar

  • DESCRIPTION - A mortar made from cement, selected aggregates and additives ready to be mixed with water, for manual or machine application. For decorating façades and interiors giving a finish that imitates stone, aged brick, ashlar, wood, etc.
  • CHARACTERISTICS - Thixotropic is presented in powder for its application in a paste format, allowing a thickness between 2 and 5 cm, so that it can be textured in a period of time between 4 and 8 hours, forming thematic drawings and textures through the use of sharp steel tools, cutters, scrapers and other kinds of complementary techniques provided by artist depending on the required task.
  • HOW TO USE - Mix the product with 26% water until a homogenous blend is achieved. Wait for several minutes before applying. Apply, manually or mechanically, a minimum thickness of 8 to 10 mm of mortar to the base using a steel trowel. Then apply DECLAFLOW (liquid release agent) and place the mold onto the mortar, applying a light pressure until the required texture is achieved. If desired, ACOTEL (finishing pigmentation) can be applied to achieve an imitation of natural stone, aged brick, ashlar, etc. Finally apply a layer of IMPER W (water-based finishing liquid).

  • SUBSTRATES- Prefabricated cement blocks, ceramic bricks and concrete.
  • CONSERVATION- Store in a dry place.
  • STORAGE- Shelf life is approximately 12 months from date of manufacture if stored in unopened original packing in dry conditions.
  • PACKAGING - 25 kgs. 3 ply paper-plastic-paper sacks. Shrink-wrapped pallets of 1.400 kg.(56 sacks)
